Addicted to Joomla since it all began in 2005. The Joomla platform began as a fork from the Mambo system on August 17th, 2005. The Mambo system was trademarked by Miro International Pvt. Ltd.. They formed a non-profit foundation with the stated purpose of protecting Mambo and the open-source princliples on which is was founded. The team behind the Joomla project claimed many of the provisions in the foundation were contrary to core open source values and went against prior agreements they had in place. The Joomla project team gained widespread support and began the project anew as Joomla. The Joomla name is the anglicised spelling of the Swahili word jumla meaning "all together" or "as a whole" which also has a similar meaning in Arabic and Urdu.
We have been Joomla addicts from the start and were fans of the original Mambo system before the Joomla project began.
